Norfolk Southern has an order for 47 ET44AC (Tier 4 Emissions Compliant)
locomotives
with GE for 2016. They are currently being built at the General Electric plant
located in Ft. Worth, Texas.
The photos below were provided
by Peter Consigli and show several of the units outside
the GE Ft. Worth facility undergoing testing. Thanks to Peter for sharing his
photos. The
new units should start being delivered to NS very soon.
