On June 8, 2024, NS unveiled AC44C6M #4822 at the Railroaders Memorial Museum
at Altoona, PA, as part of a town hall event for NS employees. The unit was specially
painted by NS as a tribute to its railroaders.

The lettering on the front of the nose reads "THANK YOU TO OUR RAILROADERS".

The lettering on each side reads:

GRIT / HEART / DRIVE

MOVING THE WEIGHT OF THE WORLD

NORFOLK SOUTHERN

The top of the locomotive includes #ThankARailroader lettering and a
red, white and blue Thoroughbred horse emblem.
