LOCOMOTIVE DETAIL PHOTOS

NS SD40-2 3462 was acquired by NS from CIT Group (CEFX Leasing)  in August 2011. The unit had
its existing cab upgraded at the NS Roanoke Locomotive Shop in March of 2018. The upgrade
included installation of an electric parking brake, replacement cab doors, floors and side windows,
new sunshades, a rebuilt control stand, and PTC/NS LEADER equipment were installed. It was
repainted at the NS Juniata Shops in May 2018 and returned to service. Marc Lingenfelter was able to
take the following detail photos of the 3462 on May 9th, 2018 at Newport, PA.
