Handbrake Variations

 

Manual Handbrake Wheel

NS 8889-9128 delivered with this type.  Handbrake wheel located at left rear of the long hood.

 

Electric Handbrake

NS 9129-9841 delivered with this type.  The controls used to apply or release the handbrake are inside the locomotive cab.

 

Electric Handbrake

NS 9842-9978 delivered with this type.  The electric controls used to apply or release the handbrake and the manual brake wheel are located at the left rear of the long hood.
